Peonies is the painting that kickstarted this latest collection. I challenged myself to push beyond my assumptions of what I could do, allowing myself to fully load my brush and make big moves. It was immensely freeing. Generous pink and green strokes of color come together in this light and impressionistic bouquet of spring peonies in a vase. And I loved painting this way so much that I wanted to do more.
