In Iris IV, I challenged myself to paint on a bigger surface and build on what I had learned from previous variations about rich, saturated color and glazing techniques. The painting evolved quickly when I blocked in the big shapes first, then slowly added more details with each new pass. Glazing is a new technique to me and I'm curious to see how I might use it in the future.
