Floral Bouquet III is where I experimented with paint texture, mixing acrylic molding paste with my heavy body paint. I wanted to see how color and differents levels of paint thickness could be use to make parts of the painting seem to come forward or pushed back. Maybe because I am foodie at heart, but there is something about the way thick buttery paint feels as you spread it on a paint surface that I find deeply satisfying. I am especially excited with how the orange roses painted with a palette knife came out.
